Cumming GA – NEW City Center Development Plan

Architectural rendering – Planned Cumming City Center
For many years, Forsyth County residents have asked city and county leaders for a more vibrant and family friendly “downtown” and new Mayor, Troy Brumbalow, and the Cumming City Council are trying their best to provide it!
Along with the introduction of the city’s “Vibrancy Project” – which includes Fridays at the Fairgrounds, the Summer Concert Series at the Fairgrounds and the reintroduction of the Cumming GA Christmas Parade –  Mayor Brumbalow and the Cumming City Council have now announced their plan for a new Cumming City Center!
Construction of the planned development, located on 60 acres of a 75-acre plot of land adjacent to Forsyth Central High School, is expected to be completed within the next two years and will feature an amphitheater, miniature golf, a park/green space, walking trails, veteran’s memorial, business space – even a small lake with a fountain.
The remaining 15 acres will be developed by the previous owner into an all brick townhome development (up to 85 units) which will blend with the planned town center aesthetic.  In addition, approximately 14 acres across Canton Highway will also be donated to the city to provide additional walking trails.

The city plans for the project’s architecture to provide a small-town “Main Street” vibe designed to look as if old buildings have been renovated and repurposed for new use.  In addition, the Cumming Police Department and the city’s municipal court will be relocated to the development.
I, for one, am very excited about the plans for our new Cumming City Center.

Thank you Mayor Troy Brumbalow and the Cumming City Council!

BEFORE YOU CALL THE PLUMBER….

Many, if not all, of the homes in Mountain Crest were equipped with a circulation pump on the water heater. It was recently noted in the home inspection report for one of my neighborhood listings that the “plumbing supply system was found to be incorrect”. This sounded very scary to the buyer and was very […]
